| World Cup Day Fifteen Well, this is the best yet. I'm in Seoul ahead of the Germany semi-final, and I reckon this is the coolest place we've been so far. This is one seriously kicking town and you can tell them Tom said so.
They've has loads of big name DJ's here for the World Cup including Fatboy Slim and Paul Van Dyk so us party animals are well away. There's about a million cool places to go out it's lucky Nan's been feeding me vitamins or I think I might have flaked out by now!
The bit of town around Hongik University has got loads of cafes, bars and clubs many of them with mad live performance artists and stuff. It's all very different from things back home! I really don't know what Nan would make of it, to be honest.
After a bit of that, we went to the more upmarket area, Apgujeong-dong. That's where your rich and famous pretty people hang out, so obviously I fitted in right away. It's brilliant for checking out all the hotties and I have to say that there were some very passable restaurants too. Particularly the one I stole those prawns from. Mmmmmm!
The only thing I can't get my head around is this Karaoke thing. They take it very seriously, you know not like all the drunken sorts you see doing it back home in Blighty.
We saw the Korean Elvis just now. And if you haven't seen that, I'll tell you: you haven't lived.
Yours, all shook up,
Tom |
